She stood there. Rain pelted down around her. It spattered against her clear umbrella, sliding along the plastic like endless tear drops. Humidity toyed with her hair. The ends twisted and coiled until it frizzed about her. Black strands reached for the inner curves of the umbrella as if drawn by a magnetic. Yet, she stood there. Even as water splashed against her ebony school shoes. Even as her ivory socks drank themselves sodden. Even as her hand grew slick as it grasped the umbrella handle. He didn't seem the least bit bothered by the heavy snow falling about him. At least, not with the stillness with which he watched me. His grey-blue eyes hung wide. Snow buried his paws. Wind ruffled his spotted fur. Yet, he stood like a statue, the twitching of his dark-pink nose the only sign he was alive. That, and the gentle puff of smoke swirling about him as he exhaled. One tiny, round ear flicked backwards. A moment later, the other followed. Tension in his muscles rippled his thick white fur as if he were preparing to pounce. "Can you see your reflection?" A cold, hollow voice whispered. You gazed at the glass door. "Can you see your reflection?" The words repeated. Darkness lingered on the other side. Yet, a face dissolved from the shadows, appearing as a reflection. Its mouth gaped. "Can you see your reflection?" Fear threw you backwards, where cold, dead hands gripped you. Hi there!

I'm sorry to say, I'm not an artist. I don't draw. I don't paint. I don't make graphics. I don't even doodle. (And you don't want to see what it looks like when I do :p)

But I do write! I love writing and that's the form of art I've spent most of my life developing. Like all artists, I'm constantly growing and developing in my skill.
